![]() BTH Equestrians Lesson Program
BTH Equestrians offers a boutique lesson program geared toward developing future equestrian athletes that are also capable, confident horsemen. Lessons are offered to a limited number of students so please inquire for availability at 916-761-8468. All first time students start with private lessons that focus on grooming, handling and the basics of riding. Safety, fun, and confidence are the building blocks of the lesson program and will be stressed throughout the learning process. Students will also learn to become aware of their horses both physically and emotionally and develop a partnership with their equine counterparts. As students progress they are encouraged to participate in our lease program and eventually compete and test their hard earned skills. Students that wish to compete will always begin on the flat and will be moved through the levels of juming from the low hunters, to equitation and then on to jumpers or eventing. BTH Equestrians belives in a solid foundation on the flat and in the hunter and equitation rings before speed and height are introduced to a rider are vital for the horse and riders safety. This step by step process helps ensure the rider's ability to negotiate a course confidently and with a solid riding position before they are asked to negotiate terrain, diffucult questions within the course, or speed which can lead to unsafe and reckless riding. These are vital steps to producing safe, happy and comptetive students and horses for years to come. BTH Equestrians is proud to produce correct, effective and capable riders in all rings at all ages.
